Delete your account

You can remove your Musika account and everything in it, at any time, without asking anyone.

From inside the app

This is the quickest way, and it happens immediately.

Open Musika and go to the Profile tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
Confirm twice. The second confirmation is the one that deletes.

If you no longer have the app

Email musikaecommerce@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We will do it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

We ask you to write from the address on the account because it is the only way we can tell it is really you — otherwise anyone could delete anyone.

Deleting one thing, not everything

You do not have to close your account to remove something from Musika.

Open the listing you want gone.
Tap Delete listing, underneath "Mark as sold".
Confirm. The listing and its photos are removed immediately and for good.

Your account, messages, reviews and other listings are untouched. If you have simply sold the item, use Mark as sold instead — it takes the listing off the feed but keeps the record for you and your buyer.

You can also change your name, photo, bio and phone number at any time from Edit profile. Removing your phone number there stops it being available to buyers from that moment on.

What gets deleted

Your profile: name, photo, bio, campus and phone number if you added one.
Every listing you posted, and the photos on them.
Your saved items, the shops you follow, and your followers.
Reviews you wrote and reviews written about you.
Your notifications and your notification settings.

This is permanent. There is no recovery period and no archive we can restore from.

What does not get deleted

Messages you already sent to someone else. They stay in that person's chat, shown as being from a deleted account. We cannot reach into another person's inbox and remove what they received, any more than we could unsend an SMS.
Reports filed about you, if any. These stay with our moderators, with your name removed. Otherwise deleting an account would be a way to erase a complaint.

Neither of these identifies you after deletion.

Starting again

Nothing stops you. Signing up again with the same email gives you a fresh, empty account — not your old one back.
